About
Helen was born Helen Inger Davis
on January 5, 1920 in Drayton to Anna (Totland) and Bernard Davis.
She went to nursing school at Bottineau and later
worked in hospitals in Belcourt, Seattle, Washington and Good Samaritan
Hospital in Los Angeles, California. She was united in marriage to Myron
Beringer on October 23, 1943 in Seattle. In 1946 they moved to the
family farm in Hope, in 1947 to Grand Forks and to Center in 1970.
Helen was a longtime member of the Miller Linn Post of
the American Legion Auxiliary in Center.
She is survived by daughters, MaryLou Beringer and her
fiancé', Harvey Van Hill, Both of Yucca Valley, California and Judi
Beringer of Moorhead; her grandson his wife, Brandon and Leah Nohr of
Apple Valley, Minnesota; and cousins, Donna Reed of West Virginia and
Donna Allen of Pennsylvania
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her
husband, Myron, who died in March of 2007.
